Healthy Snacks

January 7th, 2008 by Heidi

When you want to reach for a snack, be sure it is an energy enhancing snack rather than a snack that will perk you up a bit and then send you crashing (sugary or white flour foods). Think of snacks such as fresh or dried fruit, almonds (raw), veggies, or maybe some cubed flavored tofu (good even eaten cold). Remember to drink plenty of good water because often you are actually thirsty rather than hungry.

New Years Resolutions

January 5th, 2008 by Heidi

So, what do you have planned to change in 2008? New Years resolutions are usually viewed as a bunch of stuff people vow to change but never manage to uphold anyway, so why make them? Perhaps this year instead of making a bunch of resolutions that you have no plan on keeping, why not to some real inner soul searching and make some real changes this year to make 2008 your best year ever? Instead of some superficial resolutions like losing weight and quitting smoking, do some inner reflection and decide to live your life fully and with passion. When you make real life changes, those superficial changes will happen anyway with ease. Have a year that you can really look back on with pleasure and accomplishment.

Colon Cleansing

December 23rd, 2007 by Heidi

Colon cleansing is a very worthwhile but difficult endeavor. It’s cheap to do and well worth it. You can take some psyllium seed husk powder and shake it up in apple juice and drink! It is a good idea to follow it up with a big glass of water because the psyllium seed husks expand in your stomach.

If you can stand it, it is helpful to do enemas because when the impacted fecal matter is released, toxins go into your bloodstream and can give you headaches. The quicker you can get that gunk out the better!

John Wayne had 40 lbs of impacted fecal matter in his colon when he died!

Colon cleansing is difficult on you emotionally. It can bring up past emotional issues that need to be cleansed as well, so you won’t just be cleansing physically but emotionally and mentally as well.

Everyone was impacted fecal matter in their colons–the degree varies depending on the person. Everyone would benefit from doing some colon cleansing occasionally to keep your colon as free from excess debris as possible.

Bananas

December 22nd, 2007 by Heidi

There is absolutely no reason not to buy organic bananas. The price difference in some organic foods vs non-organic is pretty major, however, organic bananas at regular grocery stores are only about 10 cents more per pound than non-organic. Even kind of regularly, they are the exact same price. Organic produce is going down in price and so it is really worth it to purchase some produce organic. Buy as much organic produce as possible. It’s a whole lot more nutritious than non-organic produce.

Healthful Living is More Than Diet

December 12th, 2007 by Heidi

Healthful living is more that just diet. It’s important for people to get outside, exercise, listen to uplifting, calming music and do things they enjoy. Stop watching televsion. Television is very conducive to bad eating habits. The commercials entice people to want to eat more of the wrong foods. A person’s home should be clean and uncluttered.  The living environment should be condusive to health, healing happiness and vitality! As a family something we loved to do is sit outside, listen to the birds and eat fruit in the yard together! That is such a peaceful, yet simple and very fulfilling activity.

Trust In Spirit

October 23rd, 2007 by Heidi

Trust in Spirit even when, especially when, you feel desperate. I have been searching for my purpose in life and for something I could do from home that I really love and that I was meant to do. I have dabbled in so many things. Everything worked to some extent but I never felt any of the things were really “my calling”. I believe that everyone has a purpose and a gift to give to the world sometimes it isn’t always easy finding that gift.

I finally just gave up and asked to be led and promised to listen and watch for the signs. I believe now that my purpose is truly unfolding. I have been afraid to do the things I have always felt I was meant to do for fear they wouldn’t fly. It is scary sometimes to do what you think rather than conform to society. This is definately one of the most important steps to creating a life you love.

Think of money as an Exchange of Energy

October 13th, 2007 by Heidi

Money is merely an exchange of energy. Everytime you pay for anything, you should stop thinking of it as “money”(and some horrible thing you have to do), instead think of it as an exchange of energy. Try to silently think of anything you pay for as flowing energy…the flow has to continue in order for you to continue to receive money in the flow.  Everything is simply an energy exchange. There is an unlimited amount of energy (including money) in the universe.

This is kind of a difficult thing to do because you think:

“yeah..but I have bills”

“I just don’t know what to do but the bills keep flowing”

“I never get a break”

I have been there and am still there in many respects but through meditation and affirmations, you have to find a way to change the way you think about money and bills. You have to break out of the stability and security of your life as you know it and be willing to live in more uncertainty in order to open yourself up to your limitless potential. This is not an easy thing but it is a thing that will so change your life for the better; it will blow your mind!
